Gucci Mane & Waka Flaka- Young Niggaz

August 20, 2011

Gucci Mane and Waka Flaka are setting a bad example for the youth. Moreover, this is not real Hip Hop. Gucci Mane says "pants sagging, flag hanging I'm a young nigga" He is making it sound that pants sagging is a cool thing for a young person.  In order for a person to be Hip Hop you don't have to sag your pants. You just have to have style. That's all. Also he is saying that most "young niggas rob and that they don't got a job. Wow... what kind of example are they setting for the youth these days?

Lloyd Banks - Love Me In The Hood

August 20, 2011

I like this song. I also like the beat, it is a good song. Lately Lloyd Banks have been going hard on his songs. He is bringing that real Hip Hop back. However it is going to take a while for the radio to play real Hip Hop. But we are going to get there, please believe it. What do you guys think about this song?

Is anybody reading my posts?

Hi I just want to know if people are reading my posts. Also let me know what do you think of this blog? Give me some inputs.

Fred The Godson ft Diddy, Meek Mill, Cory Gunz - Gettin money

August 17, 2011

I'm tired already of these types of music. Same ol' song but different lyrics always. A song about getting money.. wow. Come on you guys, you guys can do better than this.

French Montana ft Tity Boi, Soulja Boy - Whip

August 17, 2011

This song is ok too. I don't like this song. I guess this song is only good to put it on the car for the subwoofers.  The lyrics are basic, and Soulja Boy lyrics? super basic as always lol. What do you guys think?

Jim Jones feat. Lloyd Banks- Blow Ya Whistle

August 17, 2011

This song is ok. I didn't like Jim Jones part that much. I like Lloyd Banks part better. His flow is better. Moreover, Lloyd Banks said he gets stopped a lot by the cops because he is black. In part, that is true. There are a lot of racial profiling going on these days. Anyways, yeah, I like Lloyd Banks part. Lloyd Banks new flow is crazy. He adapted his new flow since Beamer Benz or Bentley.

Today we celebrate the existence of Hip Hop! (Dj Kool Herc)

Like any style of music, hip hop has roots in other forms, and its evolution was shaped by many different artists, but there's a case to be made that it came to life precisely on this day in 1973, at a birthday party in the recreation room of an apartment building in the west Bronx, New York City. The location of that birthplace was 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, and the man who presided over that historic party was the birthday girl's brother, Clive Campbell—better known to history as DJ Kool Herc, founding father of hip hop.

Born and raised to the age of 10 in Kingston, Jamaica, DJ Kool Herc began spinning records at parties and between sets his father's band played while he was a teenager in the Bronx in the early 1970s. Herc often emulated the style of Jamaican "selectors" (DJs) by "toasting" (i.e., talking) over the records he spun, but his historical significance has nothing to do with rapping. Kool Herc's contribution to hip hop was even more fundamental.

DJ Kool Herc's signature innovation came from observing how the crowds would react to different parts of whatever record he happened to be playing: "I was noticing people used to wait for particular parts of the record to dance, maybe [to] do their specialty move." Those moments tended to occur at the drum breaks—the moments in a record when the vocals and other instruments would drop out completely for a measure or two of pure rhythm. What Kool Herc decided to do was to use the two turntables in a typical DJ setup not as a way to make a smooth transition between two records, but as a way to switch back and forth repeatedly between two copies of the same record, extending the short drum break that the crowd most wanted to hear. He called his trick the Merry Go-Round. Today, it is known as the "break beat."

By the summer of 1973, DJ Kool Herc had been using and refining his break-beat style for the better part of a year. His sister's party on August 11, however, put him before his biggest crowd ever and with the most powerful sound system he'd ever worked. It was the success of that party that would begin a grassroots musical revolution, fully six years before the term "hip hop" even entered the popular vocabulary.

What/Who is killing Hip Hop?

What do you think is killing Hip Hop nowadays?

I'll say auto tunes, no real lyrics when rapping. Most of these rappers that are killing Hip Hop are from the South. Soulja Boy, T-pain, Oj da Juiceman. I may sound like I have something against the Southern rappers but in reality I don't. I am just stating how it is. For example, below are the songs of what I am talking about.

As you can see, These songs does not contains any real lyrics. Moreover, rappers have attempted to stop these rappers from killing Hip Hop like for example Jay-z, Krs one, Buckshot, but they have failed. Nowadays radios are not playing real hip hop. I will show you the songs that I am talking about when I say that rappers have attempted to stop rappers from killing Hip Hop.

Nas acknowledges that Hip Hop is dead

It is up to you to take part if you want to keep real Hip Hop alive......

Ghostface Killah ft Sheek Louch, Styles P, Jadakiss - Wu Block

Gucci Mane-Lil Friend

August 3, 2011

This is the new single of Gucci, I am liking this song. The beat is fire and the rhythm to this song is fire too. When Gucci started he was not as good as he is now. The song that made him popular was "freaky girl." Which honestly, I don't think that song was all "that". Gucci is one of my favorites rapper from the south after T.I., what do you guys think about this song?

Styles P-NYC

August 3, 2011

I like this song. He is paying homage to all the rappers from NYC, which is great because he doesn't forget where he comes from I do not know he mentions Fat joe on this song. Personally, Fat Joe should banned from NYC. He said so many negative things on NYC, especiall The Bronx. The Bronx was what created Fat Joe. So thereby, he should not be talking so negatively about The Bronx. Do you think New York Hip Hop is going to come back? Or the South will have the throne of Hip Hop for a while? Also, what do you guys think about Fat Joe?

Gucci Mane ft Waka Flocka, Frenchie - Feed Me

August 2, 2011

This song is good for the bass. However it is not real hip hop. Hot or not?

soulja boy- Country boy

August 2, 2011

Here goes soulja boy with his garbage lyrics again... It always makes me wonder how in the world he have a career as a rapper? Do any of you have an answer to my question lol?

50 cent-I'm on it

50 Cent- I'm on it

July 28, 2011
The beat is sick, and the flow is good too, but what happened to his lyrics? He starting to sound like Lil Wayne here with his garbage lyrics. Maybe he was just playing around on this song, lol. What do you think? You like the song?

The Game-Infrared

The Game-Infrared

I was listening to this song, and I like it. The game is one of my favorite rappers from the west coast. What do you think of this song? Hot or not?
